SteraMist is an innovative disinfection and decontamination technology powered by Binary Ionization Technology (BIT), a patented system that utilizes ionized Hydrogen Peroxide (iHP). This technology was originally developed as a response to weaponized anthrax attacks, funded by the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
The system works by converting a 7.8% hydrogen peroxide solution into a mist of ionized Hydrogen Peroxide (iHP) that, as it makes contact, effectively oxidizes and inactivates bacteria, fungal spores, and other microorganisms. This process results in the quick decontamination of treated surfaces, leading to a safer and cleaner environment.
